About DFW Real Estate Center

Our Beliefs Make Us Different

We believe that every person should be able to count on their real estate consultant to lead them – working with them as a consultant – probing and then advising to the best strategic options.

We believe that our company has the capacity to have a positive and lasting impact on the lives of our clients.  As a result, we continue to systematically develop systems to make everyone’s experience with our company a positive, professional and personal experience.

We believe that every person who comes in contact with our company is important and deserves to be treated with a deep sense of caring.  Our clients are people – people with fears and uncertainty who trust us to help them through the process to reach their ultimate scenario – whether it be financial security, planting of roots, safety for family, a place to grow family traditions, peace of mind, family happiness, or whatever it is that makes the buying or selling of a home important to them.

Our Team is Designed to Serve You Better

What makes us different at DFW Real Estate Center is that we have developed a highly specialized team – all dedicated to serving the needs of our clients.  We recognize that there are an over abundance of traditional Realtors out there – running their “taxi like” businesses – frantically trying to keep up on all of the different aspects of the business.  It is hard to do alone.

Meet our team of detailed-oriented, dynamically thinking consultants…

Shannon Shull – Escrow Manager – Shannon joined our company in mid 2004.  She started as an Exclusive Buyer’s Specialist and then moved into the Escrow Manager position in the spring of 2005.  She is very detail-oriented.  Her full-time job is managing contracts pending sale – from the contract execution through the close of escrow.  She knows all of the many details that need to be managed to have a transaction go smoothly.  She makes between 100 and 150 calls for every single transaction – each of them loaded with critical details.  She coordinates with all of the different parties in the transaction (anywhere from 7 to 10 people from different industries with varying agendas and needs).  She is the pilot in charge of this often turbulent phase – and her invaluable knowledge and skills in sorting through many different peices of information make the trip a smoother flight.  On a more personal note, Shannon’s hobbies include soccer, photography and cross stitch.  She played on a highly competitive national level for soccer while growing up.  Her favorite food is Mexican and least favorite is liver!  Her favorite television shows are a mix between reality, and sit-coms and include: Lost, The King of Queens, Family Guy, and Flip This House.  One of her biggest dreams is watching her kids do everything they have ever wanted.  She is afraid of rats and nuclear war – and her first car was a blue Cutlass Calais.

Deborah Kost – Founder and Creative Director – Deborah started DFW Real Estate Center at the beginning of 2003.  She has consistently and systematically built one of the most effective real estate consulting companies serving the DFW area.  Her role is to consult with our clients – helping them to develop a strategy and a step by step plan, negotiate on behalf of our clients to net the most money possible for their home sale or get the best possible price on their home purchase, and organize all of the details on their transaction.  She strongly believes that the company can make a positive impact on many peoples’ lives – including her team members and clients.  As a result, she continually reviews our processes from our clients’ point of view and makes imporvements and adjustments to ensure that everyone’s experience with our company is positive, personal and professional.  On a more personal note, Deborah is a Black Belt “want-to-be”.  She studies Karate at a wonderful studio called Chayon-Ryu in sourth Arlington.  Being a TCU graduate, she has a soft spot in her heart for the TCU Horned Frogs (and loves the color purple!).  Her all time favorite TV show was M*A*S*H (and she still watches re-runs when she has time).  Deborah was a saxophone player in the band through high school and college and if anyone can remember them…she drove a 1975 Gremlin as her first car.

Gary Yakesch, Ruby Hankins, and Deanna Collier – Realtor Associates – Gary, Ruby, and Deanna are experienced, detail-oriented agents who are dedicated to helping their clients and delivering world class service.  They are committed to leading their clients through the process of clarifying their values so that their decisions are easier.
